Baby food stage 3 recipe sharing.
Cheers! To the moms out there who’s struggle and get annoyed with the baby food situations. I feel y’all. I am the shelf food mama, the mama of fresh-made food chain delivery and the one who’s cook for my babies, I love cooking.. but to cook for 4 people in the family whose are absolutely have a different desire of flavors and different ages ( also my hubby, He’s who clammed that not a picky eater at all. But prefer to be selective when it’s come to food. Lovely!). So you see, aren’t we are related to this honorable duty?? Beside that, the “organic high quality fresh-made” delivery food was absolutely not satisfied my 10months appetite (yep, that’s right who’s like the food with poor flavor even baby). Since those options are not work and I also don’t prefer my little one to have shelf food every meal. I just decided to make her food from the ingredients of my comfort. It quite healthy and simple.
Here is the recipe:
ingredients:
1 apple peeled and chapped
1 1/2 cup of black or brown rice ( I used both my black rice was running low.)
1-2 table spoons of ground chicken
1 table spoon of diced celery
1 cup of baby spinach
and 3/4 or a cup of water (depending on texture of you desire)
Process:
Water in pot on medium heat. When the water start boiling add apple and wait until apple start to cooked. Add celery, Add chicken and when it start to cooked add rice. Now you may need to keep it stir because we don’t wanted rice to get hard at the bottom of the pot. Add spinach, stir until everything cooked. Blend the it in the blender or food processor ( also can blend it very fine if the baby is younger and doesn’t have any teeth yet). Pour it back to the pot again and heat everything up for a little bit more make sure it all cooked and storage in airtight container in the fridge.
It should makes about 20++ oz of solid food.
I only keep it in the fridge for 2days since there proteins and vegetables in it. I should have longer storage life by storage in the freezer .
There’s no (shouldn’t) salt added, natural sweet from an apple flavor and fibers from rice and other ingredients, proper amount of protein and vitamins. Plus we can ensure that the food we made is clean and makes with care and love.
Best of luck,
ps. My baby really likes the food. Maybe yours would like it or not. Carry on mama!
